Nathan Rd. - Kowloon - Hong Kong - China
Nathan Rd.Named after the British Governor who designed it, this street runs directly up to Boundary Street, and was long scorned as a white elephant and dubbed ""Nathan's Folly"". In recent decades, however, it has been known as the ""Golden Mile"" because of the dazzling array of brightly lit, neon-decorated shops, hotels, restaurants and nightspots that flank the wide thoroughfare. This shopper's paradise now extends much further than a mile, stretching up to Boundary Street and beyond.

Old Town Square - Prague - Czech
The Spanish Synagogue was built in 1868 on the site of the oldest Prague Jewish house of prayer (""the Old School"") in a Moorish style to a design by Vojtech Ignßtz Ullmann. The synagogue has a square ground-plan with a copula above the central area. The gallery is buil on an iron structure. The stucco arabesque and stylised oriental motifs of the interior are also applied on the walls and in the adornment of the doors, balustrades and gallery. The coloured window panes and interior decoration were designed by architects A. Baum and B. Munzberg and completed in 1893. FrantiÜek èkroup, the composer of the Czech national anthem, was the organist here in the years 1836 - 45. The most significant square of historical Prague. It originated in the 12th century and since then witnessed many events. Beside the Old Town Hall and the Church of Our Lady before Tyn the square has several other dominants, the baroque St. Nicholas church (K. I. Dienzenhofer, 1732 - 1735), the rococo Kinsky palace housing the National Gallery graphic collection, the Stone Bell house - a gothic city palace from the 14th century - now the Municipal Gallery concert and exhibition rooms, and the Memorial to Master Jan Hus sculptured by Ladislav Saloun (1915). The very place where the 27 Czech gentlemen were executed on 21 June, 1621, is marked in the square pavement. The Prague merdidian can be seen not far from there.

Parliament - Budapest - Hungary
Built at the turn of the century, the building of the Parliament quickly became a dominant sight and symbol of Budapest and the Danube panorama. A typically Eclectic edifice with a lot of small spikes and stone lace ornamentation, it is one of the most decorative structures of the capital. It also ranks as one of the biggest national assemblies in the world. Majestic stone lions flank the VIP entrance taking visitors to the magnificent staircase leading to the cupola room, home of the most elegant state receptions. Two symmetric wings open up from here, for what used to be the Lower and the Upper House of the pre-communist parliament. The rich interior and gorgeous decoration of the Parliament building are well worth seeing as part of a guided tour.

Riding School - Vienna - Austria
Is the oldest and last Riding School in the world where classic dressage is still practised in its purest form. This Institute was founded in 1572 and its very name gives away the fact that the horses were of Spanish origin. The superb arena - the Winter Riding School in the Vienna Hofburg (Imperial Palace) in which the Riders of the Spanish Riding School train the horses and where they perform was commissioned by Emperor Karl VI. His portrait decorates the white baroque hall built by Josef Emanuel Fischer von Erlach from 1729 to 1735. Since 1920 the presentations of classical dressage have been open to the public.
