Tower of London - London
Previous Next
Tower of London. The Tower of London was the grandest fortress in medieval Europe and the palace and prison of English Monarchs for over 500 years. In 1483, Edward V and his brother were murdered in the Bloody Tower in one of the great unsolved mysteries of history. Two of the wives of Jolly King Henry VIII were beheaded in the courtyard, and in 1941 Rudolf Hess was sent to the Tower after his parachute dumped him in Scotland.
