Yad Vashem. Yad Vashem is the monument & testimony to the unparalleled violence afflicted on the Jewish people by the Nazi Germany. A third of the Jewish people were killed, slaughtered and murdered in the concentration camps, in the gas chambers, in the woods and in the ghettos. The purpose of Yad Vashem is to commemorate, pass on the cruel legacy of the Holocaust to the coming generations and be a voice to those who were killed, slaughtered and murdered.
