Parliament - Ottawa
Previous Next
THE PARLIAMENT. The Parliament Buildings dominate the city from Parliament Hill. The three celebrated Gothic buildings with green copper roofs were originally built 1859-66. The Center Block was destroyed by fire in1916, but was later reconstructed according to the original design, minus the wood-paneled interior. The only section of the Center Block left undamaged after the fire was the library.
