ALLAN GARDENS. The six greenhouses of Allan Gardens conservatory comprise over 16,000 square feet. The colorful seasonal plants, which supplement the permanent plant collection of the conservatory, are grown in the Department of Parks and Recreation's production greenhouses in High Park. The Allan Garden's Palm House was constructed in 1908 and is a designated heritage building. Allan Gardens is located on the south side of Carlton Street between Jarvis and Sherbourne Streets.
