The Beau-Rivage Palace has built a reputation for being one of Europe's favourite hotels for its service and high quality. 24 March 1861 marks the inauguration of the Beau-Rivage Hotel in the lakeside village of Ouchy. 47 years later, in 1908, opens the second part of the hotel, the Palace wing. Built in a different style, neo-baroque, the Palace was connected to the Beau-Rivage wing by its beautiful and impressive masterpiece ""La Rotonde"". For almost 140 years, the Beau-Rivage Palace has gone through wars and crisis and is still standing majestically on the lakeshores. After 8 years of ground renovations, it is today as resplendent as at its inauguration's day and is one of Europe's truly original resort hotels.
