Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum - New York
A collection of three ships moored on Manhattan's West Side, this museum highlights the aptly named INTREPID, a 900-foot World War II aircraft carrier with a hulking gray steel hull. Check out the vintage aircraft and helicopters on the flight deck, including the sleek Lockheed A-12 BLACKBIRD, the largest and fastest single-seat plane ever flown. While on board, visit the Undersea Frontier, where kids can view live fish and shipwreck treasure. Open daily from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.

Irish Jewish Museum - Dublin
Towards the end of the last century this area of Dublin, with its network of small streets and terraces, became established as the city's Jewish quarter. The Jewish community, although now declined in numbers, still makes a distinct contribution to Dublin life. In Walworth Road, the former synagogue now houses the Irish-Jewish Museum, with a display telling the story of Jews in Ireland.

But in 1930 the family-holding that owned it, decided to give up the unprofitable business and the following year Karen Blixen had to return home to Denmark and move in with her mother at Rungstedlund. When her mother died in 1939, Karen Blixen became mistress of the house and could renovate the home according to her taste.

Khan - Acre
Acre. Acre is one of the most dramatic and captivating of Israel's cities. Within its walls are labyrinthine networks of alleys and streets filled with life. A walk along the walls offers a spectacular view of Mount Carmel and Haifa, Galilee and the old city. The citadel museum of heroism, built on top of the crusader foundations, commemorates the Jewish freedom fighters imprisoned by the British. Layers of diverse cultures peer through the ancient walls of a subterranean complex, which was excavated in the 1950'S.
