Because of the unique lens design, each image only takes a few moments to set up and shoot and photo stitching is not needed. As a result, the file size per image is approximately 100k.

A Java applet that creates the panning sensation avoids any downloads or plug-ins that result in loss of time and allows for quick uploads. The viewer can use the computer's mouse to shift his/her viewpoint, creating the same visual impression as if he/she was looking around from the center of the space.

A zoom feature allows the viewer to focus in on any area. Unlike conventional still or video camera images, the user has full control, seeing the space through his/her eyes, not the eyes of a camera operator. Finally, perspective correction enhances realism.
