Karl Johan Street - Oslo - Norway
The main stage in Oslo is Karl Johan Street, the wide main street that runs from the Parliament to the Palace. Kossuth Square - Budapest - Hungary
Two monumental buildings stand opposite Parliament. The less pompous Classicist one on the right-hand side of the square is the building of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The one that draws the eye is the Museum of Ethnography, originally built as the Central Court.

Leinster House - Dublin
Leinster House. On the north side of the Green is Kildare Street, containing Leinster House, the seat of the Oireachtais or Parliament of Ireland. Built in 1745 as the town mansion of the Dukes of Leinster, the house was bought by the Royal Dublin Society in 1814 and subsequently passed to the Government in 1992.. The public are admitted when the parliament is not sitting (advance notice required). Leinster House is flanked by the National Museum and the National Library.

Lou Lim Ieoc Garden - Macau - China
Lou Lim Ieoc Garden This is the most Chinese of Macau's gardens and was built, together with a flamboyant western-style house, by a wealthy Chinese merchant in the 19th century. He was known as Lou Kau, which is the popular name for the garden, and on his death in 1906 his son Lou Lim Ieoc inherited the property. The family fortunes declined and in 1938 the house was sold and converted into a school, which it remains. The garden fell into ruins and was bought and restored by the government which opened it to the public in 1974.

Monte Fort - Macau - China
Monte FortBuilt 1617-26, Monte Fort occupies 21,000 square feet in all irregular quadrangles with bastions at each corner. It contained barracks, cisterns and storehouses capable of sustaining a siege of up to two years. Constructed by the Jesuits of chunambo on granite foundations, with brick guardrooms and cannon housings, the fort was part (of a complex together with the college and church of St. Paul's. Soon after Mascarenhas arrived to be governor. He turned the Jesuits out and the fort became government house until 1749, when it was moved to a building on the Praia Grande.

The Toronto Music Garden springs from the imagination of renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma, garden designer Julie Moir Messervy and filmmaker Niv Fichman. It demonstrated the potential of artistic collaboration between many disciplines, and reflects the diverse contributions and creative partnerships among government, corporations and individuals.
