Temple of LiteratureOriginally built in 1070 in the Ly dynasty, the temple is a shrine to Confucius and his disciples responsible for spreading his teachings. Six years later, Quoc Tu Giam or School for the sons of the Nation was established for the princes. The school later admitted sons of mandarins and finally commoners were allowed to attend but, only after they passed a rigorous examination at the regional level. In 1484, Van Mieu became a place to memorialize the most brilliant scholars of the nation.

The mission of the San Diego Hall of Champions is ""to promote, recognize and preserve athletic achievement for the purpose of inspiring individuals of all ages to reach their full potential. In addition to being a sports museum, the Hall of Champions is an active organization which presents numerous special events and youth and community outreach programs. Among the special events are the annual Salute to the Champions, San Diego's premier all-sports banquet, a golf tournament, the Chargers Hall of Fame Induction Dinner, and the popular ""Sports At Lunch"" speaker series. Among the outreach programs is ""Say YES To Sports,"" which offers supervised after-school sports activities in San Diego middle and junior high schools.

Imperial Palace - Vienna - Austria
The Imperial Palace was the residence of the Habsburg emperors until 1918. Originally a medieval castle, of which only the chapel has survived to this day, the residence of the court was expanded and made ever more lavish as the power of the Habsburgs grew and the territory of their dominions increased. Today, the Imperial Palace houses the offices of the Austrian president, an international convention center, the chapel where the Vienna Boys' Choir sings mass on Sundays and religious holidays, the hall in which the Lipizzan stallions of the Spanish Riding School perform, various official and private apartments and several museums and state rooms which are open to the public.
